Danny Lee Foor, 71, of Erie, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Born in Erie on March 22, 1954, he was the cherished son of the late Clarence Robert Foor and Dorothy Reed Foor.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen, and three children: Christina Cieloszyk (Daniel), Jeffrey Foor (Angela), and Kimberly Choudhary (Chirag).
A proud graduate of Tech Memorial High School, Danny went on to work as a skilled machinist at GE Transportation Systems. Throughout his 42-year career, he was known for his reliability, skill, and work ethic.
On September 20, 1980, Danny married Karen Weigel at Barnes United Methodist Church. Their 44 years of marriage were filled with love, laughter, and deep companionship. Together, they raised their children, who were the pride and joy of his life.
Danny was deeply rooted in family, and his presence was a steady and comforting force. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his two sisters, Sylvia Nelligan and Carol Foor (Michael Yocina). He was a devoted grandfather to eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter: Daniel Cieloszyk III, Gavin Cieloszyk, Ciarra Cieloszyk, Rohan Choudhary, Arjun Choudhary, Lily Foor, Jack Foor, Violet Foor, and Daisy Rose Cieloszyk.
Danny will be remembered most for his kindness and generosity. He gave freely of his time and heart, always willing to help others without expecting anything in return. His faith was quiet but unwavering, reflected in his compassion, humility, and acts of service. His friendships-many of which spanned decades-were built on trust and sincerity. He was the kind of person others could count on. He was always willing to lend a hand and ready to share a laugh.
Danny will be deeply missed, but he will be remembered for the legacy he leaves behind. His spirit lives on in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Family and friends will gather together June 28th at 2 pm in celebration of his life at Lake Erie Church, 1565 West 38th St. Erie, PA 16508
