In Loving Memory of Danny Guy Hensley
With profound sadness, his family announces his passing on
February 27th, 2025 after a courageous battle with respiratory
illness. Danny was born in Lexington, Kentucky on November 10th 1956. He was the son of Stanley Hensley and Mona Stinnett. Danny had a passion for cooking and seeing people enjoy his cooking. The Cafe he started was one of his happy places. He grew up loving sports, and playing baseball with his brothers. Danny loved camping in the Red River Gorge, and was an avid lover of 60's and 70's rock music. Danny always had a smile for everyone he encountered. He was one of the happiest people. He is survived by his wife, Felicia (Fields) of Lexington, daughters Megan Hensley of Lexington, Jill Burba (Andy), of Cincinnati. Grandchildren Hazel Burba, Marigold Burba and August Burba of Cincinnati. Danny was one of five brothers.
Ray Hensley and Paul Hensley survive him, but he is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Mark Hensley and Dave Hensley. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the many special friends and neighbors offering their love and kindness. A special thanks to all the nurses and doctors of Baptist Health for their professional and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association for research of chronic lung diseases. Visitation will be on March 6th from 5-8 p.m, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road Lexington. A funeral service will be Friday March 7th, 10:30am at Walnut Hill Church, Lexington. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Church Cemetery.
