It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Danny Royden Kende, 85, of Ravenna, Ohio. Danny passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025. He was born on November 2, 1940, in Akron, Ohio, to Zole S. and Ethel G. Kende.
Danny spent many of his childhood days with his beloved grandmother, Helen Ferencz. He graduated from South High School in Akron, Ohio, and later moved to Arizona, where he worked for Honeywell Industries. During his years in Arizona, Danny discovered a deep passion for creating Kachina dolls-a craft he cherished immensely. After retirement, he and his wife returned to Ohio to be closer to family.
Danny is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lydene "Deeny" Kende of Ravenna, Ohio; his step-sisters, Valerie Silva-Petrie, Toni Martin, and Leslie Hoyt; many nieces and nephews; and his daughter, Robin Rene.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and nurses at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring, Ohio, for their exceptional care and compassion, and to Aultman Hospice of Canton, Ohio, for their dedicated support during his final days. In addition, his step-sisters express deep appreciation to Tim and Gail More for their unwavering friendship and support.
