Danny C. McClamroch, 83, of Suffield Twp., passed away on February 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Mocksville, North Carolina on August 3, 1941 to the late Otis and Helen McClamroch. At a young age, Danny and his family settled in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from East High School, where he met the love if his life, Nancy Breth. They married in 1966 and began their family.
Danny was proud to serve his country in the Army National Guard. He also retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 20 years of employment. Danny was a forty year member of the Coventry-Akron Masonic Lodge #83.
In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid hunter in his younger years and maintained a lifelong interest in collecting firearms. He was a gifted carpenter, and completed many well-crafted projects both large and small. After retiring, Danny had a daily routine of breakfast at the Farmer Boy Restaurant where he met old friends and made new ones.
Although Danny was a man of few words, he showed his loved for his family by his actions. He was a wonderful provider and a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. His simple, straightforward demeanor was appreciated and he will be truly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy; and sisters, Sylvia Hargraves and Jean Foster.
He is survived by his son, Mark McClamroch (Angie Selden) of Suffield Twp.; daughter, Lori Karasek of Cuyahoga Falls; brother, Dale (Carol) McClamroch of Columbus; grandchildren, Tyler (Amber) McClamroch of Edinburg Twp., Rowen Karasek of Stow, and Kedrick Karasek of Kent; great-grandchildren, Dakota and Bentley; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday February 21, 2025 from 5-8 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12:00 noon. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
