Danny McLaughlin

William Danny McLaughlin, 70, took his last breath peacefully on December 19, 2024 in Tucson, Arizona surrounded by his family. As hard as it was his loving mother was holding his hand when his Lord and Savior reached out and took his other hand and said come with me my son, I have your eternal body ready.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in the Providence Community on Saturday December 28 at 2pm with Pastor Sean McConathy officiating. Burial at Plainview Cemetery following. Visitation will be Friday December 27from 5pm -7pm at Moore Rose Funeral Home in Lockney. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore Rose Funeral Home in Lockney.
Danny was born in Hale Center, Texas August 3, 1954 to Don and Rosalee McLaughlin. He was the oldest of three children God blessed them with. Danny passed away 54 years and 4 days after he lost his daddy Don on December 15, 1970. Danny grew up in the Providence Community as a member of Trinity Lutheran where he was Baptized as a child and as a teenager he was confirmed in the church.
Danny attended the Providence Community School from 1st through 8th grades and graduated as the Valedictorian of his class of 1968. He attended Lockney High School where he graduated in 1972. He went on to attend an electronic institute school in Dallas. He decided he would rather use his skills at welding he learned on the farm from his daddy and built custom plows for farmers. Then he went on to become a certified Chevrolet mechanic and worked on cars for many years. When not working Danny enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding a Harley, watching NASCAR, and being in the mountains in New Mexico and Colorado.
Preceding him in joining the Lord: daddy, Don McLaughlin; stepdad, Al King; grandparents RC & Lilly Matthews and Harold & Jewell McLaughlin; sister-in-law Vonda McLaughlin; and many loved aunts and uncles.
Survived by: mother, Rosalee King; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa & Tom Carpenter; brother, Donnie McLaughlin; daughters, Michele Terry & Sarah McLaughlin; five grandsons; many cousins; two aunts; two uncles; and many friends.
