A funeral service for Mr. Danny Woodard of Carthage will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brent Crosswhite officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Haughton, Louisiana.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home for a time of visitation from 12:30-2:00 prior to the service.
Danny Lynn Woodard, 58 of Carthage was born on September 16, 1965, in Shreveport, Louisiana and raised by his parents, Lonnie Woodard and Katherine Gibson Woodard. He passed from this life on March 18, 2024.
Over the years Danny enjoyed golfing with his many golfing buddies. He enjoyed working in the oilfield, which he did for over 40 years. He was described as the life of any party and could light up a room with his smile and laughter. Danny was a lover of life itself and had a joy for living life to the fullest extent possible. He was known for his generosity, his love of music and flamboyant personality. You could always find him doing something in his free time. Whether it was golfing, fishing, playing cards with his buddies on Saturday nights, or spending time with his family. He made many friends over the years whom will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Danny is survived by his loving wife, Angie Woodard; children, Montana Rios and husband Chris, Cheyenne Woodard, and Dakota Woodard and wife Kori; step children, Heather Green and Meagan Thompson Lee; grandchildren, Kaleb Chandler, Ryleigh Green, Derek Ishee, and Keeston Lee. Very special friends whom he considered brothers, Deron Lewis, Brad Escoe and Bryan Bogenschutz. He is also survived by numerous friends, extended family members, and coworkers, and people who loved him so dearly.
