Daphne Jean Pike, 75, of Palestine, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00 p.m. Born June 4, 1950, at Crawley Cogburn Clinic in Forrest City, Arkansas, Daphne was a lifelong resident of Palestine. She graduated from high school and devoted her life to her family and home as a homemaker. A woman deeply committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Daphne was a devoted member of Beck Spur Baptist Church, where she found joy in fellowship and worship. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly, and her greatest happiness came from spending time with them. Daphne also enjoyed working in her yard tending to her flowers, and she cherished every opportunity to visit with friends at CR Smalls and the Crazy Donkey in Palestine-she never met a stranger and always made everyone feel welcome and included.
Daphne was the daughter of Joe Lucas Higgins and Nellie Mae (Hornbeck) Higgins. She married the love of her life, Terry Pike, on January 9, 1969, and together they built a beautiful life centered on faith, love and family. She is survived by her husband, Terry Pike; her children, Tabitha Gibbs, and husband, Ricky, and TJ Pike, and wife, Jill, all of Bentonville; her sisters, Doris Shafer, and husband, Billy, and Denelda Michaelis, and husband, Gary, all of Palestine; her grandchildren, Taylor Rowland, and husband, Mitch, John Samuel Pike, Lily Pike, and Gabriel Pike; and her great-grandchildren, Tate Rowland and Taney Rowland, all of Bentonville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Lucas Higgins and Nellie Mae Higgins, and her sister, Debbie Jo Glover. Daphne met each day with grace, strength, and a gentle spirit that inspired all who knew her.
A Memorial and Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, October 8, at 2:00 p.m. at Beck Spur Baptist Church, 180 SFC 219, Forrest City, Arkansas. Pastor Justin Murphy will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to the Beck Spur Baptist Church Building Fund. 180 SFC 219, Forrest City, Arkansas. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
