Steven (Steve, lovingly known as "Boss") Smith was born October 22, 1953, in Orlando, Florida to Leroy and Emma Smith. He entered into eternal rest on October 1, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Steve is preceded in death by his devoted parents, Leroy and Emma Smith. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Debra Ann Smith; his sons Brian (wife Mica) of Bristol, Tennessee, and Brett (wife Stephanie) of Oviedo, Florida; and his cherished grandchildren Cy, Grady, Wyatt, and Charlotte Smith. He also leaves behind many friends and extended family who will miss him dearly.
A graduate of Valencia College, Steve began his career at OUC in Orlando, Florida, and retired after years of dedicated service as an NDT Specialist. His strong work ethic, integrity, and faith guided him throughout his life. Steve was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord deeply. He embodied what it meant to be a godly, loving father and husband. He found joy in reading the Bible, learning about history, and cheering on his grandchildren in all of their activities. Above all, his greatest happiness was found in traveling across the United States with Debra and their feisty dog, Leroy. Steve's life was one of devotion- to God, his family, and to the values of love, faith, and perseverance. His memory will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 17th at Forrest Park Cemetery in Forrest City. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. You may log on to stevensfuneralhome.net for the online registry.
