Darla Rosette (Cota) Gonsalves, affectionately known as "Babykins" passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, in Roy, Utah at the age of 52. Born on September 18, 1972, in Chula Vista, California. Her kind heart, unwavering faith, and unwavering love and devotion to her family and friends leave a mark of love and immeasurable impact that will be cherished forever.

Darla will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. She found her greatest joy in her family, cherishing every moment spent as the beloved wife of Eric Gonsalves, whom she married on June 11, 2007. Together, they built a life rooted in faith and deep affection, a bond that was evident to all who knew them. Darla's proudest achievements were the births of her children, Robeto Cota and Erikabell Gonsalves, whom she loved and supported unconditionally.

As the only sister among her brothers, Darla shared a special connection with each of them. She is survived by her brothers Patrick and Alex Cota and is preceded in death by her brothers Ben and David Cota, and her father Patrick Cota and mother Dorothy Cota. Darla's compassionate and giving spirit shone brightest when she cared for her brothers Ben and David, as well as her mother Dorothy, during their final days--selflessly providing comfort and unwavering love in their times of need.

Darla's Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she took great comfort in her relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, whom she accepted as her Savior. She always extended a helping hand to those in need, quietly and generously giving, never expecting anything in return. Her honesty and straightforward guidance were a comfort to family and friends alike, who knew her as the one they could always turn to for support.

A lover of adventure, Darla delighted in long rides--windows down, music up. As a true audiophile, she found joy in all genres of music, often sharing her latest discoveries with loved ones. She enjoyed keeping up with the latest creator content on YouTube and forged many connections through social media, both far and near. At the end of her nights before she would go to bed she would always pray for family and friends dearest to her heart.

Darla leaves behind her loving husband, Eric; her cherished children, Robeto and Erikabell; Her brothers Alex and Patrick; Her Father-In-Law John and Mother-In-Law Metta; as well as a host of friends and extended family who will miss her dearly.

A memorial service to celebrate Darla's life will be held on September 19th, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Aaron's Mortuary in Ogden, Utah (496 24th Adams). All who were touched by her warmth and kindness are welcome to attend.
