Darlene Barrett Revis, age 70, of Union Mills, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Autumn Care in Marion.
Darlene was born Saturday, January 23, 1954 in Buncombe County. She was a graduate of Union Mills High School, class of 1972. Darlene served in the U.S Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. She worked for the U.S. Government for many years after her military service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Eugene Revis and four brothers and sisters.
Those left to treasure her memory include a son, David Revis of Shelby and close family friends, Edith Greene, Joyce Duckett, Bronwyn Blenn, Geraldine Koone, Pam Childers and Shirley Wood.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Monday, October 21st at Round Hill Cemetery with Reverend Jimmy Koone officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
The body will lie in state from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
