Darlene M. Davis, age 87, died on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Bedrock Health Care, Abbotsford.
A graveside service will be held in Brooklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Town of Richfield, at a date to be determined. Rev. Chris Schwanz will officiate.
Darlene was born on November 25, 1937, in Marshfield to Herbert and Adella (Budtke) Karsten and was a graduate of Marshfield High School. She was united in marriage to Donald C. Davis on November 24, 1956, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Richfield, Wood County. He died on December 28, 2021.
Darlene had been employed at McCrory's Variety Store in Marshfield. She was a long-time member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Marshfield, where she volunteered and assisted with counting money. She enjoyed gardening and flowers and planted red flowers leading up to her red front door. She and Don enjoyed traveling and they visited all 48 continental states.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Donna (Sean) Davis Yaun of Marshfield, two grandchildren, Katie (Jim) Sauter of Tomah and Kyle (Tania) Davis of Marshfield, and eight great grandchildren, Desirae (Adam) Davidson, Autumn Davis, Addyson Sauter, Kainan Davis, Avery Sauter, A.J. Sauter, Layne Sauter, and Isla Sauter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son DuWayne Davis, and a sister, Vivian Zielke.

I didn't know your Mom, but as I read her obituary, I discovered she wad the daughter of "the McConnon man" who used to come to my parents' farm in the 1940's. Good memories of his visits there! May your Mom rest in peace!
