Darlene Easter (Annice Darlene Kimmel Easter), 80 years old, of Weatherford, Texas, was carried into Glory in the arms of Jesus Christ, December 6, 2023. She was born March 26, 1943, in Mart, Texas, to Harold Franklin Kimmel and Annice Harmon Kimmel.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, Maurice Easter. Also, surviving are her four sons, Michael Easter of Weatherford, Jimmy Easter of Weatherford, Robert Easter of Weatherford, Tim (Christine) Easter of Santo; two daughters, Michelle Easter of Weatherford and Kelly (Jay) Andrews of Plano; grandchildren, Jeffrey Easter, MiKayla Easter, Alisa Easter, Kent Easter, Shaun Jones, Melissa Gaulding, Rylie Easter and Jamie Easter, Sandy Davis, Elizabeth Salinas and Angela Salinas; great grandchildren, Alton, Emily, and Emberlynn; and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and others who refer to her as Nanny.
Darlene’s mother; father; one son, Jeffrey Easter; sister, Gayle; and brothers, Harold, Phil, and Donnie precede her in death.
Darlene grew up in Waco, Texas, touched lives living in El Paso, was a long-time resident of Burleson, Texas and spent the last decade residing in Weatherford, Texas (her grand-parents’ home-town). Darlene was a business owner, care-giver, cake decorator, and Pastor’s wife during her life.
She had a generous heart and a strong Christian faith, believed in prayer and miracles, and loved her little dogs.
The memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 15, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, Texas. The burial will be in Ranger, Texas where her mom, dad, and sister are buried, and is set at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army (who helped them recover after the fire) or your local church to continue proclaiming the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
