Darlene Haage 94, of Argyle passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at her home.
She was born March 4, 1931 in Farmington, IA the daughter of Gardner and Ruth Fern Marshall Link.
She was united in marriage to Wilbur Haage on May 31, 1949 in Wayland, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 10, 2013.
Darlene was employed at Shaffer Pen as a lacquer utility operator for twenty-six years until her retirement in 1991.
Darlene enjoyed taking care of her family and showed her love by making wonderful homemade pies and other special talents of her cooking. She embroidered many beautiful pieces thru the years. Reading was another hobby of Darlene's and especially the Bible gave her great comfort.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Shawn) Case of Argyle; her granddaughter, Lisa Kemper; her grandson, Shawn (Jessica) Case; seven great-grandchildren, Jeremy (Lora) Kemper, Dillon (Rachael) Kemper, Austin Kemper, Wyatt (Kayla) Case, Marshall (Evelyn) Case, Logan Case, and Fynlee Case; many great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Rodney (Lena) Link; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Linda Haage; her twin sister, Arlene Glines; two sisters, Geraldine "Gerry" Hawk and Beverly Link; and four brothers, John Link, Ralph Link, Larry Link, and Tommy Link.
A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 5, 2025 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Tony Keefe officiating. Burial will be in the Frazee Cemetery in Alexandria, MO.
Visitation was held prior to the service, Friday, September 5, 2025 from 10 - 11 a.m. at the funeral home with family meeting with friends at that time.
Memorials may be made to Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice.
