Darlene E. Jacobson

Darlene E. Jacobson, 91, of Algona, formerly of Humboldt, passed away on Thursday morning, April 24, 2025 at the Algona Manor Care Center.

Darlene was born March 27, 1934 in Humboldt County the daughter of Clifford and Mabel (Heggen) Jacobson. She was raised and educated in Humboldt, graduating from Humboldt High School. She lived seventeen years in Humboldt, then forty-four years south of Livermore and the last thirty years in Algona. Darlene worked as a supervisor in the bookkeeping room at US Bank. She had been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hardy for fifty years, where she taught Sunday School and most recently a member at Grace Church in Algona. Darlene was a woman with a strong faith and had a special place in her heart for her cats.

Darlene is survived by her brothers, Carol (Jean) Jacobson of Lake City and Nerland (Barbara) Jacobson of Council Bluffs. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother James, sister-in-law Bertha, her sister Norma Jean Larson and her brother-in-law Gene.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2nd at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service in Humboldt. A Graveside Service will be held shortly after 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Hardy. www.masonlindhart.com
