Darlene Muthersbaugh Obituary

Darlene Faye Muthersbaugh, 91 of Lincoln passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. She was born on her family's farm near Valparaiso on June 14, 1934, to John J. and Dorothy I. (Winter) Krafka. She graduated from Valparaiso High School and moved to Lincoln where she worked at Gold's Department store, Elgin Watch Factory, Cornhusker Hotel, Janzten Warehouse, and Farmer's Mutual Insurance Co. Darlene was married to Don R. Muthersbaugh for 65 years before Don's passing in 2021.

Darlene loved her family more than anything. She was an active grandmother, attending sporting events, concerts, and other activities. Darlene cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and looked forward to seeing them every chance she could get. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Darlene is survived by her daughter, Tamara (Scott) Shaner; sons, Mickey (Carol) and Alan (Kelly); grandchildren, Nicholas Muthersbaugh, Samantha Muthersbaugh, Amanda (Dalton) Kapke, Brad (Emma) Shaner, Matt (MaKayla) Muthersbaugh, and AJ (Averie) Muthersbaugh; great-grandchildren, Cora Kapke, Charlie and Austin Muthersbaugh; sister, Donna (Jim) Rall; brothers, Arnold (Darlene) Krafka and Jack Krafka; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; and sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Tom Tracy.
