Darlene R Walker

Darlene "Dar" Walker was born on September 27, 1959, in Cleveland, Ohio to Leroy and Lillian A. Walker (both deceased). Darlene was one of five children and shared a close bond with her brothers and sister.

A proud graduate of Glenville High School, Darlene continued her education in trade school before working as a professional cleaner for many years – a job she enjoyed and took great pride in. After retiring, she lovingly cared for her parents as a healthcare aide until their passing.

Known for her kindness, generous spirit, and gift of listening, Darlene was the person friends and family turned to for advice and laughter. She was also well known for her famous macaroni and cheese and pineapple cakes, her love of bingo, cooking, card games, and volunteering at elections and church events.

Darlene passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025 in her hometown, surrounded by the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother, Sheldon Walker.

Darlene is survived by her son, Creadell Walker; cherished grandchildren, Maria Walker and Creadell Walker Jr; brothers, Westley Walker and Lamont Walker; sister Kimberly Walker-Thornton and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
