Darline Joy Hawkins, age 92, of Louisville KY, passed away on July 22, 2024. Darline was born in Louisville KY, August 1, 1931, to the late Louis Edward and Agnes Alvey Ohlmann. After graduating Holy Rosary Catholic High School, she went on to attend and receive some college from Bellarmine University. Darline worked for and retired from Metropolitan Insurance Company. She enjoyed Knitting, crocheting, hemming and all things craft related. Darline could spend hours shopping without a break and enjoyed going through the clothing rack examining each article of clothing closely. She always put God and her family before all else.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert L. Hawkins; and grandson Andrew K. Tibbs
Darline is survived by her son, Michael Hawkins (Janice); daughters, Kathy Judd (Ron), and Lisa Tibbs; grandchildren, Jason Hawkins (Amie), Brian Judd (Amanda), Matthew Hawkins (Shannon), Robbie Judd (Kayla), and Allison Neumann (Geoff); siblings, Louis Ohlmann (Marie), and Joan A. Brady; 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29th, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm, at Newcomer, Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville KY, 40243. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 30th, 10:00am, at St. Agnes Catholic Community, 1920 Newburg Rd, Louisville KY, 40205. Burial to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 1600 Newburg Rd, Louisville KY, 40205.
