Daron Keeney Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Viegut Funeral Home on Jul. 24, 2024.
Daron Todd Keeney, born on a sunlit day-June 17, 1968, at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona-he graced our lives with his boundless spirit until the dawn wistfully claimed him on July 20, 2024, in Loveland, Colorado.
A tapestry of life, woven with threads of kindness, generosity, and humor, captures the essence of Todd's existence. His journey began in Meridian, Idaho, where the halls of Meridian High School echoed with his laughter and zest for life. Graduating in 1985, Todd soon found himself working alongside his father at Carpet Time, a stepping stone that led him to his love and lifelong career in construction.
The rhythm of his days found harmony in hanging drywall for 33 years-a craft he embraced with the meticulous care of an artist. But Todd was more than a tradesman; he was a man whose heart knew no bounds. His friends, who found in him a brother, often relayed tales of how Todd would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need.
When the workday waned, Todd's soul found solace under open skies. He was drawn to the whispering rivers and the silent mountains, where he cast his line in hopes of decent fishing and stories shared by the campfire. The greens of golf courses provided another sanctuary, while his loyalty to the Green Bay Packers added yet another layer to his vibrant self.
The open road called to him, a siren song best answered astride his beloved Harley. Here, the world blurred into hues of freedom and the wind carried laughter, often shared with his grandchildren-Gabriella, Aaliyah, Ryder, Jaelan, Ma'Kinzee, Roman, Sabriyya, and Raheem, who were the embers of his fiery spirit.
Friends and family were the bedrock of Todd's world. His daughter and the ultimate light of his life Tia Keeney-Shepard and son-in-law Jamerson Shepard provided him with a brood of eight spirited grandchildren. Alongside them stands Aunt Janice Vaughn-Henry, cousin Heather Henry, and second cousins Bruer and Skyler Woehler. Further, the familial ties extended to nephews Lucus and Tyler Keeney, niece-in-law Rachel, sister-in-law Darcy Keeney, uncle Don Vaughn, cousins Jake and Danny Vaughn and Donna Healey. He also found a bonus family with the Totos family and other dear friends who enriched Todd's path, each one a golden thread in the fabric of his life.
Even amidst life's ebbs and flows, Dudley, his loyal dog, remained a steadfast companion, embodying the undying loyalty that Todd himself embodied.
But beyond the kindness and the jokes, Todd's spirit was evident. His generosity knew no constraints, echoing in the laughter of those who had the fortune of sharing life's path with him.
As the sun sets on his earthly tenure, Todd joins his parents, Vern and Jean Keeney, and his brother Daryl Keeney, in a celestial embrace, leaving behind a legacy etched with affection and unforgettable moments. We are reminded that his spirit now rides eternal freedom's wind, casting lines in celestial streams and finding joy in the eternal embrace of the cosmos.
May we all find a piece of Todd's boundless warmth and kindness within ourselves, as we remember a man who gave freely of his heart and loved beyond its reach.
---
Peace be upon his soul, forever more.
