Darrah Strubhar Obituary
Born March 4, 1956 in West Plains, Missouri to James and Pauline (Pendergrass) Thompson, she married Steven C. Strubhar on November 16, 1974 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. He died May 9, 2019 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Thompson, Jr.
Surviving are two daughters, Aimee (Caesar) Shanine of Peoria and Ashley (Brandon) Duff of Chicago; one son, Craig (Jennifer) Strubhar of Pekin and six grandchildren, Ashlyn and Beckett (Strubhar), Willow and Jonah (Shanine), Leighton and Logan (Duff).
Darrah had worked as a teller at Pekin Community Bank for 29 years, retiring December 4, 2021.
She loved spending time with family, friends and especially her grandkids. She also adored hummingbirds and sandy white beaches.
Memorial Contributions may be given to Tazewell Animal Protective Society, 100 TAPS Lane, Pekin, Illinois 61554.
