Darrel Wayne Cash departed this life on Monday, April 14, 2025.
Mr. Cash was born on November 17, 1941, in Raywood, Kentucky to the late Edgar T. Cash and Thelma May Mills.
Darrel is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lucy Yoakem of Seale, AL, Susie Thornton of Vidalia, GA, and one son Eric Cash of Vidalia, GA.
Mr. Cash is survived by his loving wife Viola R. Cash of Sparta, TN. Children, Katherine A. Wilkins of Columbia, SC. Samuel Wilkins of Zolfo Springs, FL, and Chris Cash of Kentucky. Sisters; Barbara Finster of Newport, TN, Mary-Ann Hodges of Mountain City, TN. Brother-in-Law Dale Yoakem of Seale, AL, Mother-in-Law Karen Y. Zukosky of Sparta, TN and Beloved friend, Ken Baker of Manchester, TN.
Darrel did many things in his spare time and had several interests, but old cars, old music and arguing politics with Ken were some of his favorites.
Likewise, there were many things Darrel loved, but his wife Viola, his cats, his dogs (Lady and Sarge), good coffee, Batman and the beach were things he loved most.
Darrel lived a full and exciting life, enlisting in the ARMY at the young age of 16. Darrel was able to travel and became a medic, operating drive in theatres and breeding horses. However, Darrel was also the most wonderful cat dad and enjoyed being at the beach with his wife and children.
Respecting the family's wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
