Darrell Dean Butler

Darrell D. Butler, age 79, of Walland left this world to guard the streets of Heaven the way Marines do on Friday, November 28, 2025. Darrell was a Marine veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 thru 1972 and served three tours in Vietnam from 1966 thru 1967. He served as a police officer for 25 years and retired from the Lenoir City Police Department. His love was for God, Family, Country and Corps.

Darrell was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Charles and Louise; sister, Mary Lou Risley.

Darrell leaves behind his wife of 24 ½ years, Sandy; son, Jimmie and wife, Teresa; grandchildren, Madi, Morgan, and Neveah; great-grandchildren, Henry and Emeila; and brother, Chuck and wife, Lynn.

Graveside service with Military honors will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at West Miller's Cove Cemetery, Brother Brian Ailey officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
