Darrell Dee Cook, 84 of Upper Arlington, Ohio, passed away September 21, 2025. He was born to Frank and Viola Cook on May 19, 1941. He was preceded in death by: Wife Carolyn (2020); Parents Frank and Viola Cook; brothers Frank (Buzz) Cook and Bill Cook and sister Francis (Al). He is survived by: Sons, Darren D. Cook (Jen) and Brian L. Cook; grandson, Samuel S. Cook; Sisters-in-Law, Carolyn (Bill) Cook and Judy Faulk, and many nieces and nephews. Darrell graduated from North High School in 1959. He was formerly employed at ODOT as an inspector. Then spent the majority of his career at Anderson Concrete Corporation starting as a Field Technician, working diligently to retire from there in 2003 serving as Vice-President of sales. He then served as a Board Member for Anderson Concrete Corporation for a number of years. He was active in the Upper Arlington Civic Association serving as Commissioner of the youth football program for many years. Darrell was an avid member of the Knolls Arlington Community Association helping with many community projects such as the annual Christmas displays and having significant involvement in the annual July 4th parade float. He was an active member of the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio, receiving the Cornerstone award in 2004. He is known widely throughout the central Ohio construction industry and a friend to many. A remembrance of life open house for Darrell and Carolyn will be held on October 13 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Amelita Mirolo Barn, 4395 Carriage Hill Lane, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43220. All are welcome to drop in and share memories and stories and enjoy City BBQ as we remember their lives.
