Darrell L. Evans

Darrell L. Evans of Muncie, Indiana passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 64. He was born on October 6, 1961, in Muncie, Indiana to David & Geneva (Flowers) Evans.
Darrell grew up in Muncie and graduated in 1980 from Southside High School, where he participated in football, track, and band. He furthered his education at Ball State University and was a successful entrepreneur for two businesses as a chemical and mechanical engineer. He later retired from TS Tech Indiana.
Darrell was an avid mechanic, had a passion for creation and innovation, and a talent for working with his hands. He was intellectually gifted with an analytical mind and ability to solve any problem. In his later years, he traveled the world. He had a love for bike riding and cycled wherever he traveled.
Darrell enjoyed spending time with family and going to his grandchildren's baseball games. He will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather. Darrell will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Darrell is survived by his son: Landon (Amy) Evans, daughter: Ashley (Seth) Rayle, grandchildren: Jackson Folkner, Lincoln Rayle, Gracen Rayle, Franklin Rayle, Waylon Rayle, a grandson on the way, and Josie Evans, his mother: Geneva, brothers: Brooks (Debbie) Evans, Greg (Kristin) Evans and Gale Evans, and several nieces and nephews. Darrell is preceded in death by his father, David.
Memorial services will be held at The Meeks Mortuary, 415 E. Washington St. Muncie, IN 47305, on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 2 pm with burial to follow at Tomlinson Cemetery, 5301 S. Old State Rd 67, Muncie, IN 47302. Calling hours will be at The Meeks Mortuary from 12 pm 2 pm.
