Lafayette- Memorial Service celebrating the life of Darrell Joseph Henry, Sr. will be Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Fields Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Francis L. Davis of Westend Bibleway Christian Fellowship will officiate the services. There will be no visitation as Darrell's wishes were that he be cremated prior to his memorial services.
Darrell Joseph Henry, Sr. was born on February 24, 1962 to Frances Green and Howard Boutte in Iberia Parish, Louisiana. A resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, Darrell passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 10:55 PM at his residence, with his family at his side.
Darrell leaves to cherish his life and legacy, his devoted fiancee', Julie Knockum; two sons, Darrall Henry Jr. and Joseph "Joe" Knockum; four daughters, Darolyn Henry, Catherine Henry, Angelle Henry and Denaisha Knockum; brothers, Carlton Henry and wife Linda, Raymond Green, Prentis Henry and wife Jeanelle, Preston Henry, Albert Henry, Bernard Henry and wife Tammie and Adrian Henry; God sent brothers, Makki Muhammad, Roger Quin, Kennan Nelson, Joe Pickney and Lorenzo Knockum; sisters, Glenda Green and Shelia Henry; God sent sister, Marilyn Lapoint; eleven grandchildren, Branelon St. Julien, Amaja Henry, Adantae Henry, Angel St. Julien, Briley St. Julien, Bryce St. Julien, Tyler Walker, Daylen Henry, Aubree Vallier and Isiah Vallier.
He is reunited with his parents, Frances Green Henry and Howard Boutte; sister, Catherine Green Charles; brother, Paul Lee Henry; maternal grandparents, Bernard Green Sr. and Frances Thomas Green and paternal grandparents, John Boutte and Mary Johnson Boutte.
Honorary pallbearers will be Amaja Henry, Darrall Henry Jr., Prentis Henry, Joseph Walker IV, Marlon Charles, Brandon St. Julien, Tremaine Lancelin and Adantae Henry.
