Darrell Hoskins Obituary

Darrell was born on April 5, 1935, in Centertown, Kentucky, to Reathel and Lois (Whitehead) Hoskins. He was a proud graduate of Centertown School, Class of 1953. After high school, Darrell served his country in the United States Army. He went on to have a successful career as an operator at BP's oil refinery in Whiting, Indiana.
On November 29, 1958, Darrell married Edwina "Faye" Martin in East Chicago, Indiana, and the two shared 66 years of love and companionship. Darrell had a passion for fishing and reading, often finding solace and joy in these hobbies.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Faye Hoskins; his children, Dana (Jim) Whitesell of DeMotte, IN, and Craig Hoskins of Crown Point, IN; six grandchildren: Amanda, Ashley, Tracy, Taylor, Whitney, and Morgan; as well as six great-grandchildren.
In accordance with his family's wishes, cremation rites have been arranged, and Jackson Funeral Service of DeMotte has been entrusted with his care. No services are currently scheduled.
Darrell will be remembered for his kindness, work ethic, and dedication to his family.

Darrell was full of life,we loved his stories,and his great humor,he was the best neighbor ever,loved him dearly,you have takin a piece of our hearts with you,fly high Darrell,we love you Darrel and Gail.

Faye and family
John and I were very sad when we heard that Darrell passed away. He was such a wonderful neighbor and we will both truly miss all the wonderful conversations with him as we cut grass, picked up leaves,etc! Darrell was a very down to earth person and will truly be missed. Love and prayers are with all of you during this time of mourning.
