Darrell Jones Obituary

Darrell graduated from Republic High School and was the first athlete to letter in all four sports there, including track, baseball, basketball and football. He then went on to graduate with cum laude honors at Southwest Missouri State in journalism. He worked a variety of jobs, including over-the-road truck driver, copywriter, route planner and foreman.
Most of Darrell's life, he homed a variety of animals, including dogs, horses, cattle, goats, a snake, a shark and piranha. For a time, he lived on a farm in Morrisville, Missouri where he built his own dome house.
Besides farming, Darrell's favorite hobbies were kayaking and scuba diving. He completed 8 scuba dives in other countries, including in Australia and Honduras. He also enjoyed motorcycling, camping, horseback riding and water sports.
