Darrell George Mason

Darrell George Mason, 83, of Chanhassen, Minnesota, passed away peacefully of natural causes on September 19, 2025 surrounded by his children. Darrell was born on November 16, 1941, to Lloyd & Ervina (Schwartz) Mason in Hopkins, Minnesota. Darrell was a Navy veteran, serving his country on a "kiddie cruise" from 1959 to 1962. After the Navy, Darrell was a proud member of Plumbers Local 15 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, giving 38 years of service to the plumbing trade until his retirement in 2007. Darrell was preceded in death by his grandson, Conner Mason, and longtime companion Joyce Bode of Hutchinson, MN. Darrell is survived by his children, Eric (Jacolyn) Mason, Altoona, IA; Jeff (Charlyn) Mason, Nevada, IA; Paul (Louise) Mason, Plymouth, MN; and Molly (Adam) Grage, Shoreview, MN. Darrell is also survived by his grandchildren, Chelsea (Grant) Hanson, Avery (Anna) Mason, Allie (Jake) Jensen, Finlay Mason, and Charles Mason. Surviving great-grandchildren are Reed Hanson, Dalton Hanson, Caden Mason, Kenzie Mason, and Callan Mason. A Memorial service for Darrell will be held at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapels in Hopkins, 1400 Mainstreet, Hopkins, MN 55343 on October 31, 2025, at 10:30am. Visitation at 9:30am.
