Darrell Gene Tate, a native and resident of Livingston, Louisiana died Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the age of 80. He was the beloved husband of Mary Thompson Tate for 59 1/2 years and loving father of Deana T. Schenk and Darren G. Tate. Darrell is also survived by his six grandchildren; Jenna Daigle, Paige Wagner, Delaina Wagner, Cameron Tate, Trace Tate and Brittan Tate; siblings, Kelly C. Tate, Ray D. Tate, Janell T. Beregi; and eight great grandchildren.
Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl LeBlanc Tate, originally of Pine Grove, Louisiana, and Frank J. Tate, Sr. originally of Albany, Louisiana; also by his siblings, Fannie T. Whiddon and Frank J. Tate Jr.
Darrell was a Master Carpenter by trade.
