Darrell Taylor Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 21, 2022.
In Loving Memory of Darrell Lee Taylor, Sr.
Darrell was born on August 1, 1995 to Renee Burnett Taylor-Porter and Darryl Lee Jackson in Louisville, Kentucky. He gave his life to Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Darrell a.k.a. Rell, was a son, the middle child, a big brother, father of 5 beautiful children, an uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.
When he was younger, he use to say he was going to be a rapper. He never made it that far lol but he kept on recording in the studio. His mother had ground rules in her house, play sports and make good grades. Somehow Darrell slipped through the cracks on those ground rules lol. Rell was a person who had has mind set on how he wanted things to be and he got it done if he could. His heart was made of gold and no one could fill his big shoes. He gets that from his momma. He touched the hearts of so many people and his spirit and kindness will forever be in your memories. He loved to joke around, travel, fish and ride motorcycles. He was always on the move, planning something. When he first got back home one of the things he said was that "we need to call each other more and say I love you and give more hugs."
For those who had the pleasure of knowing Darrell, all probably have a unique version of how you came across him or how you spent your time with him. We all can say that he was loving, caring, big on giving to anyone, putting his family first and always trying to stay strong. He will forever be in your hearts and memory if you keep that part with you.
The loving Darrell Lee Taylor, Sr. departed this life on March 15, 2022 at the age of 36 in New Albany, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Anna Lee Taylor Sr. - Miles; grandfather, Raymond Miles; aunt, Barbara Taylor; uncle, Herman Taylor, Sr.; aunt, Delores Taylor-Thompson and Michael Taylor, Sr.
He leaves behind his mother, Renee Burnett Taylor-Porter; his father, Darrell Lee Jackson, Sr.; 5 children who all look just like him, Darrell Lee Taylor, Jr., Dyimetrius Ja'Quan Taylor, Damir Lamont Taylor, Darez La'Mickel Taylor and Alaia Myona Taylor; 5 siblings, Charles Taylor, Nicole Taylor, Darshawna Taylor, Kierra Elliott and Pierre Elliott, III; 3 aunts, Diane Hickman, Roberta Taylor and Anna Taylor Jr.; 2 uncles, Victor Taylor and Raymond Taylor on his mother's side; 1 brother, Darryl Lee Jackson, Jr. and 3 aunts, Kim Jackson, Lynn Jackson and Sherry Jackson on his father's side; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and loves he considered as family and friends.
He touched and loved so many people in so many ways. He was some special "Real" loved one. I would never get done if I tried to name everyone who loved him or knew him or who he loved or knew, but you all know who you are and what you meant.
