Darrell Trimble Obituary
Darrell was born November 15, 1953, the son of James Jr. and Marie Harms Trimble, in Topeka. He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1971 and attended Washburn University for two years. Darrell married Brenda on May 23, 2009. He served on the Topeka Police Department for 34 years, retiring in 2010. During his career, Darrell was a street officer, helicopter pilot and a detective. He enjoyed bowling on a league for over 20 years. Darrell was a member of the F.O.P.
Darrell is survived by his wife, Brenda; sons, Christopher (Jessica), John (Elizabeth), Michael (Sarah) and Daniel (Michelle); stepchildren, Stephanie Hanna, Stacy Ekis (Ronald) and Sandra Hanna; 12 grandchildren; and siblings, Sandra Eaton, Lloyd Trimble (Cathy) and James Trimble III. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Dennis Eaton.
Celebration of life will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 2nd, at the F.O.P. Lodge, 2649 SE 45th Street, Topeka KS 66609.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central Park Christian Church, and sent in care of Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Condolences may be sent online to www.kevinbrennanfamily.com.
