He was born August 17, 1955 in Charleston, WV. A son of the late, Lester W. Moore and Alzena "Doll" (Bayless) Moore. Also preceding him in death are siblings, Lester Ray Moore, Gloria Sue (Moore) Kinder and Timothy Wayne Moore; niece, Leighanne Kinder.
Darris was of the Freewill Baptist faith. He enjoyed playing, singing and listening to bluegrass gospel music. At the age of 18 he owned and operated his own full service gas station and was a mechanic. He loved his family and friends and will be missed dearly.
Those left to cherish his memories include his loving daughters, Kelli Bell (Chris) and Mary "Missi" Clark; grandchildren, Jacob, John, Jared, Madelynn and Mary "Grace" (Ty Stephens) Bell, Meghan Withrow (Jason), Hailey Harless, Zyan, Miah and Legend Hunter; great grandchildren, Waylon Stephens, Skyler Withrow and Anderson Harless; nieces, Kala Moore and Carmen Grimm (Billy); nephews, Benjamin and Casey Moore as well as a host of other family and friends.
Cremation has been observed. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM., Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the Hopkins Fork Community Church 1285 Prenter Road, Seth, WV 25181.
Family and friends will gather for a time of fellowship from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the Church.
Bollinger Funeral Home 420 Lee Street, W., Charleston, WV 25302 has been entrusted with the arrangements.
