He was an outdoorsman. He loved hunting and camping, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, NASCAR, and building birdhouses.
Darryl is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Arlene Hanson, step-father Carl Hansen, and sister Carol Tendrup.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jane; children Kelly (Dave) Hopkins, Shawn (Cheryl) Hanson, and Krisi (Mark) Schmidt; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, brothers Dana Hansen and Ardell Hansen; sister Janice Elliott, and many other relatives and friends.
Interment at Fristad Cemetery will be held at a later date.
