Daryl Price Smith, 78, of Payson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on November 10,2025. Born on May 12, 1947, in St. Joseph, Missouri. Daryl lived a life marked by devotion, generosity and a deep love for family and outdoors.
He was proceeded in death by his beloved mother, Opal (Noland); father, Eugene "Porter" Smith, and sister Helen.
Daryl is survived by his devoted wife off 62 years, Rita (Carver); his children, Sons Patrick, Carroll and daughter Toni; his brother Carroll and sisters Sue, Joyce, Candice and Ginger. He was a proud grandfather to Christina, Vanessa, Dustin, David, Brandon and Ashley, and a cherished great-grandfather to 13 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Daryl spent his career in aerospace where he worked his way up from a machinist to a general supervisor, before medically retiring. Daryl mentored many people in his life and was known for his generosity and leadership. Outside of work he found joy in nature- whether it be camping, boating or four-wheeling, he embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm and spirit.
He will be remembered for the love he gave, the family he built and the legacy he leaves behind.
