David A. Amspacher

David A. Amspacher, 70, of Dover, passed away on December 6, 2025. He was the loving husband of Deborah (Mann) Amspacher.
Born June 29,1955, in York. He was the son of the late Robert Amspacher and the late Martha (Hahn) Oberlander. He graduated from York Vo-Tech High School in 1973. David retired from Voith Hydro (previously Allis-Chalmers) after 46 years. He continued to work for Voith Hydro after retirement as a part time/temp employee.
He enjoyed sailing with his wife, grandson and friends, and was a member of the Baltimore Yacht Club and Northern Chesapeake Yacht Club. David also enjoyed traveling, cruising and fishing. He spent many years with the Dover Township Fire Department as an EMT and Firefighter and volunteered as a boy scout leader in 1980's and 90's.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Craig A. Amspacher and wife Louanna, Daniel Amspacher, grandchildren Brandon Amspacher, Alex Alwine, Ashley Bosserman and husband Tanner, three great grandchildren, sisters Vivian Amspacher, Carol Stutts, half sister Wendy Amspacher and several stepbrothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his son Brent Amspacher, grandson Wyatt Amspacher, brother Michael Amspacher and sister Brenda Grasser.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, December 15, at John W. Keffer Funeral Home, 2114 West Market Street, York, with Pastor Bill Schutt officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00, with a service beginning at 11:00am. Burial will be at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or St Judes.
