David F. Augustine

David F. Augustine, age 65, a Naperville resident since 1992, formerly of Elmhurst, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, surrounded by his family in Naperville. He was born on October 12, 1959, in Chicago.

Beloved husband of the late Brenda Kay Augustine (née Flamm), whom he married December 17, 1987 and who preceded him in death on March 2, 2023, loving father of Adam (Bethany) Augustine of Oswego, IL, Brianne (Scott) Mann of Lisle, IL and Catherine (David) Tasevski of Lisle, adored grandfather of Evelyn and Kinsley Augustine and Wilder Mann, devoted son of the late Joseph and Theresa (née Radetski) Augustine, son-in-law of Nancy Flamm (née Clutts) and the late William Flamm, dear brother of Shirley (Jim) Arch, the late Ronald (Mary) Augustine and Eugene Augustine, brother-in-law of Susan (Richard) Lewis, Karen (the late Dwight) Kiefer, Patty (Kenny) Flamm, and Rita (Clay) Mitchell and fond nephew, cousin, uncle, great-uncle, godfather and friend of many.

Throughout his life, David's greatest pastime was time spent on the water, spending years enjoying Lake Michigan and the Illinois River on his boat with his family. David was a member of Starved Rock Yacht Club.

He was known around his neighborhood for lending a helping hand and cracking a joke. He spent his career as a proud I.B.E.W Local 701 Electrician. Later in his life, he found no greater joy than the joy of his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, 4:00-8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville, IL 60540.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 13, 10:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookdale Rd., Naperville.

Entombment will follow at Holy Apostles Mausoleum in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville.
