David Autry Obituary

David Darrell Autry, 71, of Stedman, passed away on October 20 as a result of complications related to Parkinsons Disease.
Darrell grew up in the small community of Bethany where he worked on the family farm and other area farms alongside family members, friends and neighbors. He graduated from Cape Fear High School, served in the U.S. Navy, and retired from Kelly-Springfield Tire Company. Darrell was free-spirited with a good sense of humor and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Darrell is preceded in death by his wife, Julie Johnson Autry; brother, Danny Autry; parents, Bruce Autry and Doris Strickland Autry; his maternal grandparents, Albert and Vonroe Strickland; paternal grandparents Reverend Perry G. and Hettie Autry.
Darrell leaves to cherish his memory his son, Derek; brother, Doug Autry and wife Kathy of Stedman; sister, Wanda Dail and husband James of Wade, and several cousins, nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Darrell to South River Community Church, 6540 Goldsboro Road, Wade, NC 28395.
