David Anthony Bailey, age 56, of Rogersville, passed away and gone to a better place, no longer in pain on Thursday,October 30, 2025 at his home.
David was born to Oral and Reba Bailey on May 21, 1969. David was a lifelong resident of Rogersville, TN a place he dearly loved. He and his loved sisters and families have worked and operated Golden Dairy since 2002 taking over the family business after his parents passed away and buying their uncle's and aunt's part of the business.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Oral Bailey and Nora Reba Archer Bailey; grandparents, Ernest and Eliza Richards Bailey and Leo and Alta Gilliland Archer; brothers-in-law, JM Lovin and Dennis Byington.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Stephanie Lee Richards Bailey; children, Chelsea (Bud) Davis and Alex Barnard; sisters, Pamela Lovin, Jane (Robert) Ledbetter, and Tammy (Billy) Webb; grandchildren, Shay, Emma and Jackson Davis; sisters-in-law, Debbie (David) Ward, Donna Byington, Kim Knight; brother-in-law, Bryan (Linda) Richards; nieces and nephews, Lindsay (Biggie) Dmitriev, Robert (Maggie) Thacker, Cynthia (DJ) Swiney, Christopher (Kelcie) Webb, Brandi (CJ) Whitt, Noah Webb, David Knight, Ashlleigh Knight, Brittany Richards, and Brooke (Daniel) Boerner; great nieces and nephews, Mia, Macie, Rylee, Paityn, Grace, Bo, Kolden, and Khloe; special friends, Brillo (Billy) Templeton, Chris Barker; special mom and dad, Danny and Vivian Vaughn; and many other family members and friends.
David was a big Tennessee Vols fan, he also loved the Dallas Cowboys, Tennessee Titans and The Nashville Predators. He also loved spending time and traveling with Stephanie. David worked in public all his life, He was employed early at K Mart for 10 years, Ortho Chemical Corp, where he traveled, and as a manager at Big Lots in Rogersville. He enjoyed most of all working with his sisters at Golden Dairy.
The family of David wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Tennessee Cancer Specialist in Greeneville.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Christian-Sells Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm with Rev. Johnny Carr and Rev. Danny Vaughn officiating. Graveside service will be held Monday, November 3, 2025 at 11:00 am at County Line Cemetery. Anyone who wishes to follow in the funeral procession is asked to meet at Christian-Sells by 10:00 am on Monday.
Pallbearers will be Robert Thacker, Christopher Webb, CJ Whitt, Noah Webb, DJ Swiney, Bud Davis, and Alex Barnard.
