James "Jim" Bailey, 79, passed away on October 30, 2025, at Augusta Health & Rehab.
Jim was born on April 26, 1946, to Clyde and Gladys (Fenney) Bailey in Black River Falls. He graduated from Black River Falls High School in 1964. He moved to Green Bay and was united in marriage to Rosemarie Elland. He started working at the Charmin factory and they had two sons while in Green Bay. In 1972, they moved to Blair and managed a farm, before purchasing their own farm in 1975.
He and Rosemarie later divorced. Jim moved to Black River Falls and started working at Federation Cooperative. He worked in the fertilizer plant and delivered bulk LP to homes in the area for over 20 years. He continued to farm as a hobby raising crops and staying busy working.
He always enjoyed being outside and visiting with friends and family. Over the years, he also drove truck and semi over the U.S. and Canada. When he finally retired, he would deliver meals to homebound people for the ADRC in Jackson County. He looked forward to getting together with his sisters and meeting others for morning coffee. He was an avid Packers fan and attended the Ice Bowl.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Gladys; granddaughter, Jessica Bailey; great-granddaughter, Gabriella, and siblings, Mary, William, and Vicky.
Jim is survived by his sons, Craig (Pam) Bailey and Tony (Paula) Bailey, grandchildren, Nicole (Drew) Kozicki, Brittany (Russ) Delaney, Zachary Bailey, and Jeremy Bailey, great-grandchildren, Logan, Lucas, Catherine, and Kasha, along with sisters, Betty (Jim), Patty, Nellie, and Donna (Jim).
A celebration of life open house will be from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at the American Legion Post 54, 421 WI-54, Black River Falls, WI.
