David Paul Barber, of Willards Maryland, passed away peacefully March 21, 2025, at the age of 75, at home surrounded by his adoring family. He was predeceased by his father, Maurice Barber, his mother Rose (Renkiewicz) Barber, his brother Maurice “Moe” Barber and several nephews. He is survived by his beloved sister, Carol Barber Egan Andrews, a niece Kelly Fox, a niece Christine Egan, many nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews and a great-great niece Siren Fox.
Born on June 18, 1949 in Scranton, PA., he was the youngest of three children of Maurice and Rose Barber of Dickson City. David graduated from the special programs at Dickson City High School, worked at Allied Services for several years and later moved to Ocean City, Maryland then Wimauma, Florida. Following the passing of both of his parents, he enjoyed an incredible life with the endless, exceptional care provided by his sister Carol Andrews and her late husband Daniel Andrews.
David loved many hobbies: bowling, football, jigsaw puzzles, collecting cards and never passed on a competitive game of “You’re It”. He was also smitten with the WWF, Lone Ranger, Batman and Walker Texas Ranger. His greatest love, however, was Elvis Presley who he easily mimicked with his singing, dancing and guitar playing. Birthday and holiday celebrations always included Jordan almonds, Pepsi and a fat stack of $1 bills.
Both the viewing and interment will be private.
