Eleanor "Lee" Hudson, of Willards, MD a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, at the age of 82 at Coastal Hospice at The Lake in Salisbury, MD. She was born on February 20, 1943, in Berlin, MD to the late Leo Joseph and Eleanor (Jarman) Easel. Eleanor's enduring spirit and passion for life touched the hearts of everyone she encountered.
A talented horse trainer, Eleanor dedicated much of her life to her love for horses, imparting her knowledge and passion to those around her. Her dedication to the land was further evident in her role as a poultry grower, where she nurtured her interests and shared the joy of farming with her family. She was also a dedicated member of New Hope United Methodist Church in Willards.
Eleanor leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through her beloved children, Donny J. Hudson of Willards, MD, Kelley L. Gravenor (Tom) of Snow Hill, MD, Mark T. Hudson (Alison) of Millsboro, DE; she is also survived by her adoring siblings, brother, David Easel and sisters, Dawn Leeds, Michele Easel, and Kim Easel. Her memory will forever be cherished by her grandchildren: Betsy Gravenor-Stacey (Sean), Matthew Gravenor (Ashley), Ashley Ingram (Joseph), Amanda Shenton (Jordan), and D.J. Thompson, as well as her great-granddaughters, Jaina Shenton and Sophia Gravenor.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Donald V. Hudson.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday January 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the New Hope Cemetery, New Hope Road Willards, MD.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802 or New Hope United Methodist Church.
