A Tribute to a Beloved Musician and Dad
David Belanger, aged 74, passed away peacefully at his residence on October 28, 2025, comforted by his daughter, Jennifer and while listening to his favorite artist, Frank Sinatra.
David was born on December 21, 1950, in Lowell, Massachusetts. After graduating from Lowell High School in 1968, David enlisted in the Army Reserves and later worked for Wang Industries and the City of Lowell. David was a talented musician and played multiple instruments. He also loved to perform live music and played keyboard in both the Free and Easy Band and the Bagsy Band. He also found joy in owning his own D.J. Company, Sidekick. David’s melodies enriched the lives of many people and he inspired many with his musical talents and fun-loving nature.
David is survived by his three children, Lisa Cadieux and her husband, Keith of Westford, Robert Belanger and his wife, Louann of Dracut and Jennifer Trzcienski of Lowell; his grandchildren, Michael and his wife, Mikayla, Jonathan, Andrew, Mathew, Lauren and Sarah; his great-granddaughter, Ila; his sisters, Gubby and her spouse, Kate, Pauline and her husband, Allen and Judy and her husband, Robert; his brothers, Richard and his wife, Vie and Michael; the mother of his children, Rita Belanger; as well as a large family of friends and bandmates who will feel his loss terribly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Simone (Nobert) and Victor Belanger.
Relatives and friends are invited to David’s Funeral Mass on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 12 PM at ST. MICHAEL CHURCH, 12 6th Street, Lowell. Burial will be held privately.
