David Henry Bellerose of Lindale, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 18th at the age of 74, doing what he loved most-playing golf. He was born on July 12, 1951, in Lowell, Massachusetts, to Barbara and Henry E. Bellerose. David graduated from Merrimack High School in New Hampshire in 1969. After high school, he served honorably in the United States Navy as a Gunner's Mate. One of his favorite annual traditions was watching the Army-Navy football game-especially if Navy won. A proud and patriotic man, Dave never passed a veteran without offering a handshake and words of thanks. A Mechanical Engineer by trade, his career brought him to Texas in 1995, where he worked on everything from early cell phones to pizza ovens.

In 2010, Dave met Marsha through golf-naturally-and they were married in 2015.He had one daughter, Danielle, and granddaughter, Zoe, who held a special place in his heart. Dave created countless joyful memories during his time in Quinlan, Texas, where he raised horses, chickens, and many other animals. He had a deep love for animals, especially his two dogs, Gus and Bella. Life for them will never be the same without him. Dave also loved to travel, especially if the trip included a few rounds of golf. He enjoyed card games like cribbage and gin rummy, board games, and unfortunately, a little gambling on cruise ships. A big fan of karaoke, Dave had a remarkable singing voice and especially loved singing anything by Merle Haggard. And, of course, he had an enduring passion for golf.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marsha Bellerose; his daughter, Danielle Bellerose of Flower Mound, Texas; and his granddaughter, Zoe. He is also survived by his sisters, Star Beverlie of Corpus Christi, TX, and Cheryl Sparkman of Corpus Christi, TX; his brother, John Harris of St. Robert, Missouri. He was also greatly loved by Marsha's children and grandchildren, Shahna, Lindsey, Tyler, Jensen, Tanner, McKinley, Reagan, Tanner, Grant, Hank and Brooks. He was also loved by many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Harris and Henry B. Bellerose.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Mt. Sylvan Baptist Church, 13073 TX-110, Tyler, Texas 75704; the church will be open to accept flowers at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dave's honor to any charity benefiting Veterans or animals. A military graveside service will be held at a later date at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
