David E. Boose, Sr. went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2024.
David was born on April 18, 1940 at home, 420 Edgehill Rd. York to Leroy E. Boose and Martha E. (Weigel) Boose, now deceased. He was also raised by Mabel "Betty" R. (Mellott) Boose, now deceased, when Leroy remarried after Martha's death. David graduated from William Penn High School in 1958. He served in the US Navy from 1958-1962, stationed in Pensacola, Florida. He was married to Beverly V. (Davis), now deceased, for 57 years from 1960-2017. His children include Kathryn V. (Boose) Ruder, Elizabeth A. Boose, and David E. Boose, Jr., all who live in York County. David had six grandchildren: K. Victoria (Brobst) Cleveland, Nora E. (Brobst) Mellott, Melanie M. (Ruder) Dugan, Jonathan E. Ruder, Bethany J. (Ruder) Backus, and Jeremy P. Arnold. He had nine great-grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his two sisters: Carol A. Boose and Constance L. Boose, both of York County.
The viewing for David will be held at 10 am and the memorial service at 11 am on October 24, 2024 at St. Paul Evangelical Congregational Church, 450 W. King St. York, PA 17401. Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
Any memorial contributions in David's name should be made to St. Paul Evangelical Congregational Church at the address above.
