It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David Walter Bourland of Hot Springs Village, AR (formerly Montvale and West Milford, NJ). Dave passed away peacefully, with his mother by his side, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the age of 70.

Dave is survived by his daughter, Keri Metzler, and her husband Bryan; mother, Shirley Bourland; brothers, Brad Bourland and his wife Susan, and Doug Bourland; aunt, Dorothy Frazier; cousins Bill Frazier, Todd Draeger, and Brent Draeger; and lifelong friends, Missy and Mike Bauer. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Bourland; uncle, Walter Draeger; and cousin, Tommy Frazier.

Born on June 26, 1955, in Brookfield, IL, to Shirley and Larry Bourland, Dave worked most of his life as a Ford mechanic. A lifelong car enthusiast, he was a devoted fan of NASCAR and drag racing. He enjoyed watching the races, visiting the shooting range, and attending church. He will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and passion for cars.

A man of faith, Dave was an active member of the Woodlands Presbyterian Church, where he will be laid to rest in the family mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dave's memory to the Woodlands Presbyterian Church.
