David Buchanan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Buchanan, who left us peacefully in his final days surrounded by loved ones on February 21st, 2025. David was born on February 18, 1961, to Clifford Buchanan and Helen Tanksley. He was a kind, caring man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including singing, playing the piano and guitar, and spending time with his family and friends. David is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Buchanan and Helen Tanksley, and his brother, Greg Buchanan. He is survived by his children, Jeremy Buchanan (Melissa) and Kandace Buchanan; his sisters, Sandra Rogers (Ben) and Linda Robbins (TJ); his brothers, Thomas Buchanan (Ettie Sue) and Ken Buchanan (Sandra); his uncle, LD Hickman; as well as many extended family members and friends. David was known for his love of Fox News and his fondness for Fruit Loops. No matter where David went, he was always the life of the party! His family and friends will remember him as someone who brought joy and warmth to everyone around him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. A celebration of David's life will be held at Jesus Name Tabernacle on Sunday February 23rd in Florence, Mississippi.
