It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Susan Maude Kersh Morgan, who departed this life on August 11, 2025, at Riggs Manor in Raymond, Mississippi. Born on June 2, 1934, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Sue lived a life filled with love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.

Sue was the cherished daughter of Wesley Irvin Kersh and Meta Jones Kersh. She grew up with her siblings, Wesley, Art, Kitty, and Jo. who remember her as a caring sister and a guiding light in their lives. Throughout her childhood, Sue cultivated a spirit of generosity and kindness that would define her life.

In her early years, Sue fell in love and married the late Donald Havers Morgan Sr. Together, they built a beautiful family, welcoming three children into the world: Susan Dawn Morgan Carr, Donald Havers Morgan Jr., and late Craig Hamilton Morgan. She was a devoted mother who instilled in her children the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion for others. Her legacy lives on through her children and her numerous grandchildren: Courtney Einck, Aaron Carr, Justin Carr, Cammie Romero, Ginny Harshbarger, Suzi Walker, Ian Carr, Brice Carr, and Jacob Morgan. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Ashlyn Smith; Chance, Morgan, and Molly Carr; Brody, Charlotte, and Joey Walker; and Greyson and Guy Romero, who brought her immense joy in her later years.

Sue's life was marked by her strong work ethic, serving as a bookkeeper for various organizations, including Redd Pest Control, Cothrian and Pittman Law firm, and the State Employment Security Commission. Her professional endeavors were complemented by her passionate commitment to her community. A founding member of Christ United Methodist Church, Sue dedicated many years to her faith and the church's mission. She volunteered her time reading to children at Barr School and delivering meals on wheels, always seeking ways to uplift those around her. Her love for playing bridge with friends provided her with joy and camaraderie throughout her life.

Despite the challenges she faced, including the heartbreaking loss of her son, Craig Hamilton Morgan, and her beloved husband, Donald, as well as her brothers Wesley and Art Kersh, Sue's spirit remained indomitable. Her capacity to love and forgive, to cherish each moment, and to inspire those around her was a testament to her character. She was a beacon of light, guiding her family through life's storms with grace and resilience.

Sue's kindness, humor, and unwavering support will be missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Funeral services will be held at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland, Mississippi, with visitation at 1 PM and services to follow at 2PM.

As we say goodbye to Susan Maude Kersh Morgan, let us remember the lessons she taught us: the importance of family, the joy of giving, and the beauty of community. May her soul rest in peace, and may we carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.
