David Earl Buckwalter, age 66, of Sheridan, died Friday, June 20, 2025.
Born at Hannibal, Missouri on March 7, 1959, he was the son of Mrs. Mary Ruth Elliott Smith and the late Earl Eby Buckwalter. He moved to Pine Bluff in 1963 and graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1977. He continued his education at Perdue University studying computer science.
He was the owner/operator of On Site Computer Services and was of the Pentecostal faith. From 1977 until 1984, David served in the United States Marine Corps with tours of duties in Grenada, Okinawa, and Honduras.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ira Eby Buckwalter and Della Gibbons Buckwalter and Otto Elliott and Bertha Schoenborn Elliott.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Ruth Elliott Smith of Sheridan; Carol Small (Jerry) of Rison, Sharon Harris (Jack) of Pryor, OK, Becky Spriggs (Harvey) of Redfield, and Julie Clayton (Joel) of Rison; nine nieces and nephews, along with numerous great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private service in Palmyra, MO at a later date.
