O B I T U A R Y

David L. Bunnell, of Hardyville, Kentucky, son of the late Sydney W. Bunnell and Judell Pemberton Bunnell, was born on Saturday, July 28, 1945 and passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, September 19, 2025 at his home. He was 80 years, 1 month, and 22 days of age.

David was a proud United States Army veteran, having served his country with honor during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he continued his life as a dedicated truck driver, a life long farmer, and a fixer of all things. He was known for his strong work ethic, steady hands, and generous spirit.

He had made a profession of faith and attended the Zion Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Janice Logsdon Bunnell of Hardyville whom he married on Saturday, June 29, 1968.

Other survivors include his daughter and son-in-law: Bontina and Allen Haynes of Hardyville; two grandchildren: Seth Allen Haynes and Fiance' Mackenzie McAnley of Canmer and Shelby Lee Haynes of Hardyville; one brother and sister-in-law: James W. and JoNell Bunnell of Tennessee; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Judith A. and William Nelson Howell of Cave City, Patricia Rippy and Marilyn Sue and Ernie King, all of Bowling Green; and a granddog: Bella

Besides his parents he was also preceded in death his brother and sister-in-law: Sydney M. and Sue R. Bunnell.

Honoring his wishes, cremation was chosen and he will be laid to rest on the family farm. No formal services will be conducted. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be made to the Hosparus Health of Barren River or to the Zion Baptist Church which can be at the funeral home.
