David H. Burrola, 62 year of Age, passed away on August 17, 2024. He was born February, 25, 1962, in Hermosillo Sonora, Mexico to Ramon Gabriel Burrola and Lidia Ernestina Hernandez. He married Martha Guerrero. They were legally married in Juarez Mexico on December 16, 1983, and Sealed in the Los Angeles LDS Temple on December 17, 1983.
As an 18 year old David served a full time mission for the LDS church in Northern Mexico, an experience he cherished always.
During David and Martha's first years of marriage they lived in a few places for short periods of time, Tijuana and Hermosillo Mexico, Tucson Arizona, and 14 years in the San Diego California area, and Utah for the last 26 years. David earned his Bachelor's Degree from the Instituto Tecnologico of Baja California in Information Systems in February of 1988. Many years later, in his late 50s he decided to pursue his master's degree, which had always been a dream of his. He accomplished this goal and earned a Master's in Information Systems in the Summer of 2022, at the University of Utah. Most recently he worked as a Business Analyst for Select Health. David was so grateful for the opportunity of participating in formal continued education, as it allowed him to provide well for his family and fulfill his educational dreams. David was a gifted writer and musician, often composing songs that captured the essence of his family and the cherished moments they shared. It was by far his favorite thing to do. His poetic and wordsmithing abilities allowed him to put pen to paper and create the most beautiful music that made a connection with the souls of his listeners. Of course this was done in his native tongue, Spanish. Two noteworthy trips he went on were first, touring Europe for two weeks with his wife Martha, older brother Ramon, and his wife Olivia. The second, and most unforgettable of all, and most recent was going to Cancun with his wife, six of his brothers, and their wives. They were able to spend a week together having the time of their lives. This would be David's last trip, one to be cherished forever by all who were present. He enjoyed helping those in need. David had a small, but loyal circle of friends. It also brought him much joy spending time with his extended family, children and grandchildren. David loved baking, making Saturday breakfasts for his family and their kids. The children especially loved their grandpa's oatmeal.
David is survived by his wife Martha Burrola, his children David (Adriana), Daniel, Hiram (Daiana), Liza (Nathan). His grandchildren, Sophie, Liam, Giuliana, Damian, Luna, Nicolas, Gian, one baby girl on the way, and his six brothers, wives, and children.
He is preceded in death by his father Ramon G. Burrola and his mother Lidia Ernestina Burrola.
David's family, wife and children would like to express the deepest gratitude to all those who showed him love, and to his friends. The Burrola family is especially grateful for the outpouring of love and support demonstrated during this difficult time.
