"David Allen Cain, aged 74, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024 after a brief hospital and rehab stay. He was born on December 18, 1949, in Dallas, TX, to Allen and Marcella Cain, who preceded him in death. On October 20, 1967, he married Barbra Recer. They resided in Garland, Texas until 1980 when they moved to Kaufman, Texas where he lived until his death.
David served in the US Army for 3 years from 1969 to 1972. He worked as a Control Technician at TXU Energy (formerly Dallas Power & Light) from 1974-2004. During his time at TXU, David earned an Associate’s degree from Richland Community College. After his retirement in 2004, he enjoyed spending his time fishing on his backyard pond. David is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbra; his daughters, Heather Parsons and Christina Whitney; and his granddaughters, Caitlyn and Grace Parsons and Adeline Whitney."
In honor of David’s life, a visitation will be held on November 1, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Anderson Clayton Funeral Home, located at 301 W Nash St, Terrell, TX, 75160. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at the same location beginning at 2:00 PM and concluding at 3:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery on FM 2578 in Terrell, TX, starting at 3:15 PM and ending at 4:15 PM.
